PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS MENGGUNAKAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TPS KELAS IV SD

- Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan tipe Think Pair Share kelas IV SDN 4 Sungai Kakap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru IPS dan siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran siklus I 4.1, siklus II 4.6 dan siklus III 4.8, dengan peningkatan 0.5 dari siklus I ke siklus II dan 0.2 dari siklus II ke siklus III. Kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran siklus I 3.5, siklus II 4,2 dan siklus III 4.4, dengan peningkatan 0.7 dari siklus I ke siklus II, dan 0.2 dari siklus II ke siklus III. Aktivitas siswa siklus I 63.1%, siklus II 75.4% dan siklus III 84.6%, dengan peningkatan 12.3% dari siklus I ke siklus II, dan 9.2% dari siklus II ke siklus III. Dengan menggunakan tipe Think Pair Share dapat meningkatan kemampuan guru merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran serta aktivitas siswa. Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran IPS, Tipe Think Pair Share Abstract: This research is aimed to describe the increase activity of students in social sciences using a learning type called Think Pair Share at class IV SDN 4 Sungai Kakap. The method utilized in this study is descriptive. The subjects of this research were the teachers and students of social science. The results obtained were the ability of teachers to plan the first learning cycle 4.1, the second cycle 4.6 and the third cycle 4.8, with an increase 0.5 from the first cycle to the second cycle and 0.2 of the second cycle to the third cycle. The ability of teachers to implement the first learning cycle was 3.5, 4.2 at the second cycle and 4.4 in the third cycle, with 0.7 increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, and 0.2 from the second cycle to the third cycle. Students’ activity in the first cycle was 63.1%, 75.4% in the second cycle and 84.6% in the third cycle, with 12.3% increase from the first cycle to the second cycle, and 9.2% increase from the second cycle to the third cycle. Based on those facts, it is proven that the application of Think Pair Share increases the teachers’ ability in planning and implementing the lessons and students’ activity.
