  • Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kosakata dalam makanan tradisional masyarakat Melayu Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah penutur asli bahasa Melayu Pontianak. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah berkaitan dengan inventarisasi, makna kata, fungus makna, dan tata susun kosakata berupa bahan, alat, cara membuat, bentuk, dan warna. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak dan cakap yang memiliki teknik dasar berupa pemancingan terhadap narasumber yang merupakan penutur asli bahasa melayu dialek Pontianak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang ada, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam bahasa Melayu dialek Pontianak terdapat 49 kosakata makanan tradisional berupa bahan, 23 kosakata makanan tradisional berupa alat, 16 kosakata makanan tradisional berupa cara membuat, 14 kosakata makanan tradisional berupa bentuk, 10 kosakata makanan tradisional berupa warna dan 36 hasil kosakata makanan tradisional Melayu Pontianak. Kata Kunci: Kosakata, Makanan Tradisional, Melayu Pontianak Abstract: This study generally aims to examine The Vocabulary of Traditional Food of Melayu in Pontianak. The method of this research was descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The data of sourcesin this research were native speakers of Melayu in Pontianak that obtained through observing and recording directly. The data in this research was related to the inventory, the meaning of words, the function of the meaning of words and the structure of vocabulary. The techniquethat researcher used in this research was Simak Cakap, that had the basic techniques in form of the processtoward the speakers that who were native speakers in dialect of Melayu Pontianak. Based on the analysis of existing the data, it can be concluded that in Melayu dialect Pontianak there were 49 vocabularies of traditional foods in the form of materials, 23 vocabularies of traditional foods in the form of tools, 16 vocabularies of traditional foods such as how to make, 14 vocabularies of traditional foods such as shape, 10 vocabularies of traditional foods such as color and 36 the results fromvocabulary of traditional food of Melayu in Pontianak. 1 Keywords: Vocabulary, Food Traditional, Melayu in Pontianak
