- Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode discovery terhadap keterampilan proses siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 31 Pontianak Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Bentuk penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan adalah desain quasi eksperimen dengan jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 31 Pontianak Barat yang berjumlah 64 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata keterampilan proses kelas kontrol 68,55 dan rata-rata keterampilan proses kelas eksperimen 79,7 diperoleh ( 5,38 ) > (2,04455). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode discovery terhadap keterampilan proses siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 31 Pontianak Barat. Kata kunci: Metode Discovery dan Keterampilan Proses Abstract: This research aimed to analyze the effect from aplication of the discovery method of process skill of the students in the fourth grade on science study at Elementary School 31 West Pontianak. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Forms used experimental research is quasi-experimental design with type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study were all fourth grade students of Elementary School 31 West Pontianak totaling 64 people. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average skills of process control class 68.55 and the average experimental class process skills gained 79.7 t_hitung ( 5.38 ) > t_tabel ( 2.04455 ). This shows that there are significant application of the method to the discovery process skills of students in Natural Sciences at Elementary School fourth grade 31 Pontianak West.
