- Abstract : The title of the study is "Effect Of Using School Libraries Student Results In IPS Lesson at Junior High School 18 Pontianak '. The research aims to uncover the massive impact on the use of the library school social studies at Junior High School 18 Pontianak. The research method used is descriptive research study to form relationships. Study participants were 60 students of Junior High School 18 Pontianak who regularly use the library at least three times a week, starting in the period October 2011 to March 2012. The results of the analysis of the data shows that the more often students use the library's value, the better his social studies. This is shown by calculating the SPSS 17.0 showed the effect by 53.7% with its simple linear regression equation number of Y=7.21+1.31X. Keywords : Utilization of School Libraries, IPS. Abstrak : Judul penelitian ini adalah Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Perpustakaan Sekolah Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak. Penelitian bertujuan mengungkap seberapa besar dampak pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian study hubungan. Partisipan penelitian adalah 60 orang siswa SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak yang rutin memanfaatkan perpustakaan minimal tiga kali dalam seminggu, terhitung dalam rentang waktu Oktober 2011 sampai dengan Maret 2012. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa semakin sering siswa memanfaatkan perpustakaan maka nilai mata pelajaran IPS nya semakin baik. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan perhitungan SPSS 17.0 yang menunjukkan angka pengaruh sebesar 53,7 % dengan persamaan regresi linear sederhana nya sejumlah Y= 7.21 + 1.31X.
