- Abstrak: Hasil belajar siswa selama ini masih dibawah KKM. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum untuk mendeskrisikan pelaksanaan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam di kelas IV berjumlah 7 siswa, 3 siswa laki-laki dan 4 siswa perempuan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 09 Semadu kabupaten Sekadau Tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 menggunakan metode penemuan pada materi struktur dan jenis akar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas . Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus. Hasil belajar pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 58,57 meningkat menjadi 60 pada siklus II. Selisih peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 1,43. Dengan demikian skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II dikatagorikan sedang.
