  • The research method of this research was classroom action research. It consisted of 4 steps, such as (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, (4) reflecting; and it was implemented through 3 cycles. The data of the research were obtained through observation and test, in which by using guidance observation sheet, the studentsâ€TM activity and teacherâ€TMs performance were analyzed using qualitative analysis technique. Meanwhile, the test questions were used to measure the studentsâ€TM result which was analyzed through quantitative analysis technique.Kata kunci: cooperative learning, rotating trio exchange, IPS
