- Occupational safety and health are the most important part of providing protection for workers. With the rapid development of technology raises the potential to threaten occupational safety and health. One example is the Hospital industry. At present the Hospital has been supported by sophisticated and modern tools to support the health services provided to patients. Hospital is a health service industry / workplace that has a high risk to the safety and health of hospital human resources such as patients, visitors, and the hospital environment. In this case the hospital human resources, one of them is Nurse. Nurses are health workers who are entitled to receive legal protection in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia, including legal protection for nurses affected by occupational diseases. Occupational illness is a disease caused by work. Nurse work is not an easy job because nurses are always in contact with patients or people who are sick and of course also have the risk of contracting. A work environment not far from radiation exposure can also cause nurses to be exposed to occupational diseases. This paper will examine more deeply the working conditions of nurses at high risk of occupational diseases and the legal protection of nurses affected by occupational diseases based on applicable laws and regulations. This research will refer to the applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia and relate to the issues discussed. With his knowledge of the working conditions of nurses who are very at high risk of occupational diseases, it is hoped that the hospital industry or the health service industry must be more concerned with the safety and health of their workers.
