- Poorness is the main factor of children forced to work, this job is to meet the needs of live to his or her family. Indonesia has provided a rule of law for children who are forced to work, but on the condition that the work does not interfere with education, does not harm its health and safety. But the fact is that there are still employers who dare to hire children for reasons of lower paid wages, but not necessarily the jobs given to the child are lighter or sometimes even as heavy as adults. One type of work that employs many child laborers is a job in Jermal. Jermal is a stage building where fishing is established at a depth of 8 to 17 meters, sometimes even more. Jermal's child laborer is a child laborer who works in the building where the fishing is located. Child labor in Jermal is a tangible manifestation of child slavery in the fishing industry. And when viewed from its type and nature, Jermal is one of the types of work that enters the criteria of harm to the child, so it is necessary the government's efforts in the supervision and protection of those children. The government accompanied by the ILO (International Labour Organization) formed the Program Advisory Commission or often called ILO PAC. Together they seek to reduce the percentage of child labor, especially child laborers who work in the worst types of jobs, especially child labor in Jermal, attract children working in Jermal, and make efforts to repatriate and provide supplies to those children. The provision stipulated is the training of soft skills in various fields, such as agriculture, livestock and so on, so that the work can be a substitute job for children who are forced to work, so that the Jermal children no longer work in Jermal, but can instead use those soft skills in fulfilling their livelihoods, and connecting their lives.
