- The presence of technology in a business organization will help the company to provide timely and relevant information to support manager in making business decision. The level of technology utilization and task-technology fit determines the effective impact of the technology on individual performance. The research has primary objective to empirically test the linkage between information systems and individual performance with Technology-to Performance Chain (TPC) as a research model. That for an information technology has positive impact on individual performance, the technology: (1) must be utilized and (2) must have task-technology fit factors that indicates a good fit with the task it supported. TPC model in this research was strongly supported by regression analysis of data from 60 auditors in Bandung area. The finding also supported moderately that task technology fit factors influence the utilization of information system by individual. This research, highlight the importance of the factors indicate the fit between technologies and users task in achieving individual performance impact from information technology. It suggests that task-technology fit factors could be the basis for strong diagnostic tool to evaluate whether information systems and services in a given organizations are meeting user needs.
