  • considering that the energy consumption used by the vapor compression refrigeration system is quite high, it is necessary to increase the performance of the machine. To determine the comparison of engine performance and electrical energy consumption, this data collection was carried out using a mini brine cooling system that uses a pipe diameter and length of 5/8 "and 44 cm LSHX and without LSHX, to maintain 4 oC cabin storage. The mini brine cooling system using LSHX has a COP actual value of 2.85 with a COPcarnot value of 5.19 so that the system efficiency value is 55%. The system without LSHX has a COP-actual value of 2.58 with a COPcarnot value of 4.82, so the system efficiency value is 53%. For chilling time, the system uses LSHX for 185 minutes and the system without LSHX is for 275 minutes. The electrical energy consumption of the mini brine cooling system that uses a heat exchanger for 570 minutes is 1.779 kWh, while the system without LSHX is 2.083 kWh.
