PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN BIOETANOL DALAM PREMIUM DAN PENGGUNAAN BUSI IRIDIUM TERHADAP DAYA DAN EMISI GAS BUANG MESIN INJEKSI YAMAHA MIO J TAHUN 2012

- The purpose of this study was to investigated the effect of additing bioethanol inside premium gasoline against power, the effect of using iridium spark plugs against power, the effect of additing bioethanol inside premium gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs against power, the effect of additing bioethanol inside premium gasoline against gas emissions, the effect of using iridium spark plugs against gas emissions, the effect of additing bioethanol inside premium gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs against gas emissions, and the measure of comparison between bioethanol with gasoline that optimum and safe to daily/long term used in Yamaha Mio J motorcycle year 2012 with injection engine. Based on the results of this study, obtained results as follows: (1) There is effect of additing bioethanol levels in gasoline and the used of iridium spark plugs, against 2012 Yamaha Mio J Model’s power and the gas emissions of it’s injection engine on default condition from the factory. (2) Addition of bioethanol levels showed higher levels of bioethanol were added due to the resulting engine power is getting low. The maximum and significant decline occurred in 50% mix of bioethanol content. The power value is achieved 7.38 of HP, occured a decline in the power value by 13.97% from the standard conditions. (3) The use of iridium spark plugs at all bioethanol treatment levels, only shows the change in the average decline of 0.075 HP when compared with the use of a standard spark plug at all bioethanol treatment levels. (4) In addition of bioethanol levels, the higher levels of bioethanol were added, the CO and HC exhaust emissions produced by the engine was lower. The decrease in CO and HC exhaust emissions occurred in 50% mix of bioethanol content and the values were achieved at 0.25%, and 51.5 ppm, occured impaired CO and HC exhaust emissions respectively at 15.67% and 39.05% in standard conditions. (5) In addition levels, the bioethanol blend in with the used of premium fuel and iridium spark plugs, a significant decline in the power value occurred in the treatment’s provision in the form of the iridium spark plugs used and 40% bioethanol and 50% mix levels, the rated power achieved is 7.9 HP and 7.28 HP. Occured on both these treatments impaired the power of 7.93% and 15.15%. (6) In addition levels of bioethanol blend in with the used of premium fuel and iridium spark plugs, a significant decline in the value of CO exhaust emissions occurred in the treatment’s provision in the form of the iridium spark plugs used and 0%, 40%, and 50% mix levels, the rated value of CO exhaust emissions achieved is 0.235%, 0.216%, dan 0.204%. On third these treatments impaired the value of CO exhaust emissions of 21.67%, 28%, dan 32%, when its compared with standard conditions. While the HC exhaust emissions, a significant reduction in the value of emissions occur in the treatment by using iridium spark plugs and the using of 30%, 40%, and 50% mixture bioethanol content, which is equal to 54.75 ppm, 45.75 ppm, and 42.25 ppm. On third these treatments impaired the value of HC exhaust emissions by 35.21%, 45.86%, and 50%, when its compared with the standard conditions.
