  • The AIDA project at the Alan Turing Institute aims to automate the manual and tedious parts of data science using advances in AI and machine learning. CleverCSV is a Python package developed as part of AIDA that aims to simplify loading data from a CSV file (surprisingly, a non-trivial task in general). In this talk I discuss the background and motivation for developing CleverCSV, how it was developed, and lessons learned in the process. The hope is that this can be useful resource for others who aim to develop tools for data scientists and others. This presentation was given as part of the Tools, Practices, and Systems seminar series at the Alan Turing Institute.
