Qual o conceito que alunos do ensino fundamental e médio têm de neurônio?

  • This study gives the views of 105 pupils (62 girls and 43 boys) enrolled in primary and secondary schools in Southern Brazil on the concept of neuron, elicited through the analysis of their drawings and questions about the structure and function of this cell of the nervous system. Mostly of the drawings showed a depiction of the neuron, except those drawings of the youngest pupils with higher percentage of no identified representations. Results from questioning over what is a neuron and what is its activity demonstrated a partial knowledge particularly from the youngest pupils. Low cost electronic equipment and engaging teaching material were suggested to be used in practical classes in schools.
