  • The main objective of this study is to analyze the impact of foreign aid on the educational outcomes of primary level in presence of corruption. Besides, the study also strives to throw a discussion on the situation of education in Sindh and the role of corruption in education. The study uses time series data over the span of 1995-2012. It is concluded on basis of the empirical results that the ODA disbursed to Pakistan has positive (insignificant) effect on the Gross Enrollment Rate of primary education. However, it has negative impact on the enrollment rates when corruption is interacted. Moreover, the condition of education in Sindh is vulnerable. The study also finds various forms of corruption in education at political, administrative and school levels which are both monetary as well as non-monetary in nature.
