- Cicindela striga LeConte Colleton Co., Edisto Island, Rt. 114, Freedman at Fishing Creek, 28 June 2013, at MV light, 1 specimen, coll. R. M. Gemmill. Only one historical record for this species has been recorded previously from South Carolina (Charleston Co., Charleston, 1 July 1924). Therefore, while not technically a new state record, this recent find confirms that this elusive Florida species occurs in South Carolina.
