- Today, an organization’s success depends heavily on information technology (IT) because many organizations rely on their management information systems (MISs). Nevertheless, organizations, especially their IT managers, struggle to bridge the large gap between IT implementation and business strategies to achieve maximum output from their MIS. Table 1 illustrates in detail the gap between the information system (IS) division and its corporate end users.
