- With the expansion of industries and ever increasing population in all over the world, the need of power has become very important for everyone and because of this energy consumption has increased over past decades. The use of conventional resources in an unease manner warned us and forced us to use non-conventional resources. Among non-conventional resources, wind is proving itself being better among other sources in electricity generation .Though the wind energy is young in generation area, it has benefitted significantly from the steady advances technology made in the components dealing with the grid integration, the electrical machines, power converters and control capability. In the modeling of wind power generation scheme based on DFIG, the main focus is on the modeling of DFIG. The input power to the propeller of wind turbine is assumed to be in varying in the modeling of wind turbine rotor. In this segment, the designed model of DFIG is essentially a basic and realistic reduced model; by which small signal analysis is done. The output of the Wind Turbine is approximately found to be equal to the output power of the DFIG by utilizing the regulator, due to which the small signal stability of the power system in question is quite enhanced and satisfactory.
