- Tourism, which is a service sector, has achieved significant growth worldwide. Our country plays a very important role in this growth due to its geopolitical position, long coastline and affordable prices. Thus, significant amount of foreign exchange inflow is taking place to contribute to the economy of the country. The aviation industry, one of the fastest growing industries in the world, is developing parallel to the tourism industry. In addition to this, it is also known that the rate of use of air transport in tourism activities is increasing. The increase in demand by foreign tourists also affects the flight traffic. On the other hand, Russia is one of the countries where the most tourists come to our country. In this study, airport-passenger and flight traffic data for touristic purposes conducted by our country as Russia-based was analyzed by Trend (Trend Percentage) Analysis method. Within the scope of the study, the airport data covering the years 2006-2013 and the passenger data for the years 2008-2015 are considered and it is aimed to determine the current status of tourism activities between the two countries. As a result of the evaluations made, determinations were made about air traffic for tourism purposes.
