CDIO Standard 1 requires that Engineering Practice (CDIO) form the context of engineering education. While retaining the same basic activities the course was re-contextualized in four significant areas: Deliverables model, Assessment model, Role of Academic Assistants, and Improved Peer Mentoring. In each case the experience was tailored to resemble work in engineering practice rather than an academic exercise.
