- This paper describes the longitudinal study of a large scale implementation of CDIO in Singapore Polytechnic. The three year evaluation determined the impact of CDIO on the students' engineering knowledge and skills, interest and motivation in engineering, development of CDIO skills, and ability to integrate the knowledge and skills taught. Evaluation data was collected through student journals, surveys and interviews with students and faculty. The curricular changes were phased-in in 15 three-year programs and the evaluation instruments were customised accordingly. The findings showed that students were positive about the changes and lecturers' teaching competencies were key influences of students' learning.
