Euseius flechtmanni Denmark & Muma, 1970 b: 223, 1973: 261, (synonymy according to Moraes et al., 1982: 18). Specimens examined: São Carlos: P. guajava, IV 2001 (2), VII 2001 (1). Associated phytophagous mites: no phytophagous mites were found associated with this species. Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso (Ferla & Moraes, 2002), Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Argentina; Colombia; Costa Rica; El Salvador; Guatemala; Honduras; Nicaragua; Paraguay; Portugal; Trinidad and Venezuela. Remarks: The measurements of a single adult female collected are similar to those given by Moraes & McMurtry (1983) for the holotype and other specimens of northeastern Brazil: dorsal shield length 330, width 213, j 1 30, j 3 38, j 4 9, j 5 10, j 6 13, J 2 13, J 5 5, z 2 15, z 4 23, z 5 10, Z 1 13, Z 4 13, Z 5 65, s 4 43, S 2 15, S 4 15, S 5 20, r 3 15, R 1 13, Sge I 28, Sge II 28, Sge III 30, Sti III 25, Sge IV 45, Sti IV 30, St IV 53, St 1 –St 3 58, St 2 –St 2 65, ST 5 –ST 5 75, length of ventrianal shield 103, width at ZV 2 level 50, width at anus level 68. The measurements of a single male are: dorsal shield length 250, width 203, j 1 25, j 3 48, j 4 10, j 5 10, j 6 15, J 2 13, J 5 5, z 2 18, z 4 33, z 5 10, Z 1 13, Z 4 13, Z 5 50, s 4 40, S 2 18, S 4 19, S 5 20, r 3 18, R 1 13, Sge I 25, Sge II 23, Sge III 25, Sti III 23, Sge IV 38, Sti IV 30, St IV 45, width of ventrianal shield 160 at anterior corners, length of shaft of spermadactyl 20. These measurements are similar to those given by Noronha & Moraes (2002) for specimens from state of São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, except for j 3, which is ca. 20 % longer.
