- The current territory of the Cantabria region corresponds fundamentally with the central sector of the Cantabrian coast, in addition to the valleys of Campóo and Valderredible. To date most of the synthesis works carried out both in the Basque Country and in Asturias are circumscribed to their regional limits. At the same time, Cantabria has become a serious gap for the study of the neolithization process in the Cantabrian valleys, the little attention that has been given to regional archaeological data causes that general theories about the neolithization process, or processes, lack most of the basic archaeological evidences. With this short paper I intend to contribute to the study of a topic that could be labelled as controversial.
