India: * Karnataka, * Kerala [New report from south India]; Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim.— China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia), Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand (Srinivasan & Girish Kumar 2010, 2013; Nugroho et al. 2011). Remarks. This species is most common in south India. The females display variation in yellow colour marking on clypeus, propodeum and abdominal segments. This species can be easily distinguished by the combination of the following characters: the body with less yellow marking and legs and tegulae entirely ferruginous.
