  • This work presents a radiologic dosimetry evaluation of an intrabuccal x ray equipment, and the scattered radiation during exams. The studied model was a Spectro II (Dabi) used for teaching purposes at the Faculdade Santa Rita de Cássia, Itumbiara (GO). We used an ion chamber to measure the incident, transmitted and scattered radiation, and a solid state dosimeter do measure the kVp. From these measures we calculated the doses from absorbed and scattered radiation. All measurements were realized through the irradiation of a water phantom comprised of a water bottle. We found that 99,8% of the incident radiation is absorbed by the water phantom. The tube tension was 7,5% off the value informed by the manufacturer, which is within the national regulations.
