- During the acquisition of mammographic images there is the insertion of noise, so it is necessary to study techniques of denoising. With these techniques it is possible to obtain a better quality image in which it will be possible the early detection of any finding in the breast. In this work we used the Wiener, Coiflets and Fejer-Korovkin a filters to evaluate the effectiveness in denoising the following parameters: peak signalto-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity (SSIM) and measure of enhancement (EME). After processing, it was found that all filters used were effective in smoothing noise with signal preservation and original image structure.
