- The angle of attack (AoA) over specific positions is one of the most important variables to get a performance indicator or feedback information for passive or active control. Even when operated under rated conditions, AoA will differ over the spanwise position. Unfortunately, this parameter is generally indirectly calculated. Two methods for determining the AoA based on pressure measurements are applied: Three-hole probes and pressure taps. The main goal is to present an alternative method to obtain the AoA that the three-hole probes and give a full comparison between them, to use it as a future parameter/performance indicator tool.
