  • Analysing and processing the wealth of available biomedical literature is a major concern in life science research. However, freely accessing this wealth, retrieval of required information, extracting and semantically analysing knowledge present within this literature are some of the non-trivial challenges in this research domain. Each of these challenges are distributed over different platforms and require further purification of data content in order to move from one platform to another. The central focus of this research is to develop a methodology which seamlessly integrates these discrete platforms with the help of SCAIView information retrieval search system and UIMA based analytical workflows. This integrated solution provides an easy to use, well distributed, flexible, and an efficient solution to combine semantic search and document retrieval with a number of different analytical workflows.
