- Subjective evaluation becomes very powerful tool in field of building acoustics. Listening tests are more and more often used as an addition to objective methods for construction evaluation as well as surrounding environment. Subjective testing is a complex task where many aspects need to be considered, e.g. type of test method, length of test, stimuli type, etc., since results are strongly dependent on them. It is always a challenge to build listening test suitable for researched problem to get required results and conclusions. This paper shows a list of various challenges which appeared during test preparation for subjective testing of sound insulation between dwellings for purpose of EU project H2020 – RISE “papabuild” project, which need to be considered. It shows example of solutions of these problems.
