- The aim of this work was to establish antioxidants biochemical profile of Alchorneacordifolia vitro-plants, grown on substrate with different manganese concentrations, for the suitable use of regenerants in a phytoremediation program of soils polluted by this element. Conductivity and, pH including essential parameters in assimilation of minerals by the plantwere studied on substrate cultures. There was no significant difference in these two parameters onthe four substrates tested, with an average of 4.7 and 188.63 μS/m, respectively for pH and conductivity. Guaiacol-peroxidase activity was higher in leaves and trunks, on media with high concentrations of Manganese. In substrates containing low concentration of Mn, this activity was more important on roots. As for Glutathione (GSH), its activity was also greateron the leaves with a maximum value of 2,356 nM/g on the substrates.
