- The author reveals the political and legal aspects of reforming the labor law of France. It"s pointed out that in 2017 a large-scale reform of labor legislation took place in France, which became the third in this country over the last decade and aimed at liberalizing France"s labor law and giving it «flexibility». The author is convinced that the reform of the labor law of France demonstrates the tendency of narrowing labor rights of employees and their ability to influence decision-making at enterprises with the help of their own representative bodies. It"s noted that changes in France"s labor law have outlined the way in which the legislator"s idea is directed: for the development of the economy, high social and labor standards are a burden, the solidarity of workers hinders investment infusions, the labor force must adapt to the market, but not the market to the labor force. The author notes the impossibility of the society and the scientific community to react accordingly to the transformation towards the deterioration of the situation of the working people, who constitute the overwhelming majority of the population, of such a socially important branch of law as labor law.
