- The article is related to the section of the dissertation research about the Vienna School of Art History. The German-language monograph by Julius von Schlesser «Vienna School of Art Studies» (Schlosser J. Die Wiener Schule der Kunstgeschichte // Mitteilungen des Instituts fuer oesterreichische Geschichtsforschung. Erg. Bd. 13. 1934) as one of the first works about this European scientific community, is one of the most important position in the list of literature, which contribute the understanding of the context, formation and evolution of the art criticism of Vienna, as well as obvious scientific interest in the chronological segment of the existence of Austria-Hungary, and therefore deserves special attention from Ukrainian art historians.
