- SALDY MANSYUR. Building the Competitiveness of Makassar Industrial Park as Center for Economic Growth in South Sulawesi (guided by Abd. Rahman Kadir and Madris). This study aims to formulate strategies that need to be implemented by the Makassar Industrial Estate to create a competitive advantage and make the Makassar Industrial Park as driver for economic growth in South Sulawesi Province. This research is an explanatory research that is descriptive without any hypothesis-test using a qualitative approach with a focus on analyzing alternative strategies based on the company's environment. The research location is Makassar Industrial Park (KIMA) located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. The data collected includes primary data and secondary data. The analytical techniques in this research are IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factors Analysis Summary) analysis, SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) analysis, General Electric analysis, QSPM analysis, and QFD (Quality Function Deployment). The results show that the Makassar industrial park allows the implementation of the 'Grow, Invest and Build' strategy, which means it has a business opportunity to grow because it is located in a cell position that has a large market appeal, with high priority income and has a competitive advantage. From the results of the strategy formulation, the Makassar industrial park needs to develop an industrial area in a new place with an adequate area for sustainable development. The results of the QFD analysis show that the development of new industrial park is carried out with the concept of "Smart Industrial Park" to improve social, economic and environmental performance.
