  • Dust in general is very dangerous for the health of the body, especially for the respiratory tract. Dust can come from dry soil or vehicle smoke (Carbon Monoxide) that is carried by passing cars and trucks on the highway. The purpose of this study is to measure dust levels and monitor peaks and average dust levels that exist around the Tambak highway in real time. The method used is observation of the Tambak highway which is often passed by vehicles. It is expected that this research can find out the level of safe air quality according to government regulations No.41 of 1999 with dust particles of 10 microns and no more than 150μg / m3. By using Arduino, dust sensors, and MQ-7 and the results show that the morning approaches noon carbon monoxide rises and reaches a peak during the daytime when the average passing vehicle starts to vary and the majority of truck vehicles with more exhaust gases. but it is still in the moderate category and has not reached an unhealthy level.
