- Natural Science (IPA) is one of the subjects that require visualization in the scope of the process or natural events that occur in the environment. Science learning in SD is necessary. The idea of this animation arises because the solution of the problem is being experienced by science subject teachers in the State Elementary School Tritih Lor 02, where in the delivery of material teachers have difficulty because of the interest of students to the subjects, so the authors make 2D animated video as a medium of learning on energy materials and its use. In the making of this animation using the method of MDLC (Multimedia Devolepment Life Cycle) which uses 6 (six) stage development of conceptualization system, completion of materials, manufacture, testing and distribution. The software used in making animation is Adobe After Effect. From the results of experiments conducted through the distribution of questionnaires to 23 students stated that the animated video is appropriate and can be used with a percentage of 91% with the category strongly agree. The goal to be achieved is a two-dimensional video for learning media of energy materials and the use of teacher aids in science lessons on energy and its use.
