- Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that affects all organs of the body and causes various symptoms. This disease is a metabolic disorder in which many factors cause such as the inability of the body to use insulin, or other metabolic disorders as a result of deficiency of insulin hormone secretion, insulin activity or both can. The purpose of this study is to design and create expert systems that are able to diagnose clinical and provide solutions for diabetes mellitus according to the knowledge of an expert. This expert system is web-based using the programming language PHP and MySQL as the database. The method used is certainty factor, which is to provide certainty about each of the symptoms of diabetes mellitus. Test results based on manual calculations and system calculations obtain appropriate results so that the system is able to diagnose clinically and the system is able to provide information and solutions about diabetes mellitus based on the knowledge and abilities of the doctor.
