- Based on this description it can be concluded, 1) That emotional intelligence is in a strategic position in Islamic education, high emotional intelligence is a goal that must be achieved in the educational process, 2) That emotional intelligence and the nafs muthmainnah basically describe the condition of human psychological maturity as al-Insan. The difference between the two lies only in their respective terminological backgrounds. Emotional intelligence was born from Western psychologists, while nafs muthmainnah is written in the Qur’an and 3) That Islamic education is very concerned about the development of human cognitive abilities (IQ), as well as emotional development.
