Thesis, Surakarta: Postgraduate Program (S2), Islamic University of Batik Surakarta, 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant influence between the variables of discipline, motivation, compensation and work environment on employee performance. In addition, to find out whether there is a significant simultaneous influence and which variables are the most dominant in influencing employee performance at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive research design. The population is employees who work in the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, Klaten Regency, amounting to 194 people. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling with a sample size of 81 respondents. Collecting data by using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was statistical analysis, namely multiple linear regression, F test, t test, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that: 1) There was a partial and significant effect of motivation, discipline, compensation and work environment on the performance of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of Klaten Regency employees. 2) There is an influence of motivation on the performance of employees at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning Klaten Regency. 3) There is an influence of discipline on the performance of employees at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning Klaten Regency. 4) There is an effect of compensation on the performance of employees at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, Klaten Regency. 5) There is an influence of the work environment on the performance of employees at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning, Klaten Regency. Suggestions from this research, employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of Klaten Regency continue to improve motivation, discipline, compensation and the existing work environment, so that employee performance will increase and be better than before.
