- This study aims to know the kinds of task in English textbook suggested by Raimes (1983). The object of this study was English textbook entitled “English on Sky 1” for Junior High School. Qualitative method was used in this study. The data obtained from all tasks in the textbook. The result of the study indicated that there are six kinds from fourteen of task suggested by Raimes (1983) were employed in the textbook. There are sentence ordering, fill in the blank without translation, question answer, addition, fill in the blank with translation, and free composition.
