  • This study investigated the challenges faced by the teacher while teaching English to street children in the classroom. This study was designed using a case study to find out and describe the the challenges faced by the teacher while teaching English to street children in the classroom. This study was conducted at Filial School Palembang with a teacher of English as the participant by using convinience purposeful sampling technique. In collecting data, I used one on one interview through open ended question. 16 questions related to research questions were given to the participant. In this study, I found several challenges faced by teacher while teaching English to street children in the classroom, such as (1) students keep using thier first language, (2) uncooperative students, (3) lack of students’ motivation, and (4) students’ discipline. At last, the results of this research indicated that those were the challenges faced by English teacher while she was teaching English to street children at Filial school Palembang.
