- This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of cooperative learning model type investigation (GI) on mathematical learning of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 55 Palembang. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with a post-test only control design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 55 Palembang. The samples chosen were 2 classes, VIII.1 as the experimental class and VII.5 as the class control class using cluster random sampling. Demonstrate that students' mathematical learning outcomes experience significant changes from each meeting. While the analysis of the test data used is the t test with a = 5% obtained t count = 1.986> t table 1.670 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then it can be concluded that there is an effect of cooperative learning model group investigation (GI) type on mathematical learning outcomes of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 55 Palembang
