  • This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students in class XI science in biology subjects in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu after the application of simulation methods. The population in this study were all students of class XI Science, amounting to 65 person. The sample in this study class XI Science I students are 32 students as experimental class II and class XI Science classes totaling 33 students as control. The method used is quasi-experimental (quasiexperimental). The data were taken in the form of student learning outcomes (cognitive). The research instrument used was a 20 item multiple choice questions. Data analysis was performed with mengunakankan Test - t. The results showed an average value of pre-test of the two classes obtained 53.66 and 67.30, for an average value of post test is 75.125 and 65.32, then from the self-t is obtained for the value of pre-test is t = 5.54, t = 1.67 table, t count for post-test values are 4.34 and 1.67 t table, the applicable criteria accept it if t count> t table, from the pre-test and post-test t that obtained greater than t table diterimah hypothesis. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the study results using both methods seem to be more than a method simlasi bright. Keywords: simulation methods, learning outcomes.
