- Soursop (Annona muricata L.) is a crop of fruit that tastes sweet and sour. Soursop has great benefits for humans, namely as a material of food, medicine and insecticides. Soursop leaf extract can be used to cope with pests grasshoppers, caterpillars and other pests. The purpose of the study to determine the effect of leaf extract of soursop (Annona muricata) on the mortality of armyworm (Spodoptera litura), with the use of the experimental method with completely Randomized Design (CRD) two-way/factor analysis of variance (F Test) and test of advanced Distance of the Nearest Real Duncan (JNTD). In this test using a concentration of aqueous extract i.e., concentration of 0%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The results from the observation of mortality at 72 hours after application at a concentration of 0% (control) does not happen of death and the criteria of his death is not effective. At a concentration of 30% occurs mortality by 30%, the criteria of death is quite effective. At a concentration of 40% occurs mortality by 40%, the criteria of death is quite effective. At a concentration of 50% mortality of 53.3%, the criteria of his death effective. Soursop leaf extract effect on the mortality of armyworm. This is due to the soursop leaf extract which contains flavonoids, steroids and saponins which are toxic stomach. The mechanism of the compounds that are toxins the stomatch which can reduce the surface tension of the mucous mucosa digestivus tract of larvae so that the wall became corrosive digestivus tract. When such compounds anter in the body the larvae then digestion will be impaired. Keywords: Armyworm, Insecticide, Soursop Leaves
