- В статье на примере позднеантичного Херсонеса – ранневизантийского Херсона проведен сопоставительный анализ источников и историографии и их взаимосвязь. Сделан вывод, что историографическая традиция не всегда корректно отображает данные источников. Это следует учитывать, рассматривая научные сочинения и канву событий этого периода в истории города. The article compares the sources and historiography on late antique Chersonese and early Byzantine Chersonese. It is found that the historiographic tradition does not always properly display the sources data. Researchers should take it into account when examining the city's history and its display in the historiography.
