  • It was decided to carry out excavations at Yam Camp because of the potential for dating a panel of very patinated pecked engravings. In addition, the dry nature of the deposits suggested potential for good preservation of bone and floral remains. The site is also located in a vine forest, which is a rare resource context for the region.
