- Viscosities of xylene emulsions stabilised with sodium oleate mvristate, laurate, capriate and saponin have been measured in a rotary viiscometer. The viiscosities depend a great deal on the nature of the ermulsifier used. Different viscosity equations have been tested and Rachardson's equation with a slight modificatioin has been found to fit the experimentel data best.
