- The polymerisation of tungstic acid molecules in aqueous medium, prepared by ion-exchange method, is a condensation polymerisation reaction of the third order. There is retardation of turbidity with the increase of molecular ratio of ethanol to water. A quantitative explanation has been attempted on the basis of formation of a complex between tungstic acid and ethanol.
