  • The diffusion current and half-wave potentials have been measured at different concentrations of Ni2 and Co2+ in presence of different concentrations of the supporting electrolytes KCI, KNO3, NH4CI., and CaCI2. Both these parameters exhibit variations a which could not he accounted for by changes in viscosity alone. An attempt has been made to explain the observations in the light of the influence of (1) ionic strength, (2) intorionic forces, and (3) the hydrogen overvoltege.
