- Twelve thioindigoid dyes have been prepared by the condensation of 6-lodothioindoxyl with various o-diketones. 6:6'—Diiodothioindigo has also been prepared. Dyeing and other properties of the dyer have been studied and compared with the of the isomeric 5-iodo and 7-iodo substituted dyes.
