The protocol explained in this report follows an integral research towards the Pathways to Just and Sustainable Futures Based on Earth Stewardship and Biocultural Conservation. This approach aims to fulfil the IPBES Values Assessment mandate for Chapter 5 which makes emphasis in highlighting the knowledge, data gaps and uncertainties in terms of the bridging and integration of diverse conceptualizations of values of nature and its benefits to people into governance, institutional and policy design relevant to policy-making and decision-making.
