- Oxo-hydroxo bis hydroxamato complexes of vanadium(V) with a large number of substituted aromatic hydroxamic acid have been described. In many case, the hydroxo complexes have been found to yiled alkoxo complexes during their reaction with alcohols. A correlation have been found between the acid dissociation constants of the ligands and the formation of the alkoxo complexes in the solid crystalline state. Spectral characterisation and conductance in methanol have also been reported.
